Philip has recently toured with Jim Davidson in Jim's new play Stand Up And Be Counted. Before that he appeared in Alan Bennett's The Habit of Art at the Royal National Theatre and on its UK tour.

He trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. In the last few years he has played the leading roles of Gordon in Neville's Island and Lloyd Dallas in Noises Off at the Torch Theatre, Milford Haven, Nick Wilmott in On Your Honour at the Jermyn Street Theatre in London, and Serge in Anne-Marie Speed's production of Art, which toured to Bahrain, Dubai, Kuwait and Abu Dhabi. Earlier he had created the role of Jimmy Grimes in the world premiere of Marvin Gaye - The Musical, written and directed by Kid Creole, which toured to Ostend, Ghent and Antwerp.                                                               

He has also played Paul Burns in Oh! What a Night! (UK & European Tour); Clive in Rookery Nook, Freddy in Pygmalion and Mel in Sisterly Feelings (Derby); Romeo in Romeo & Juliet (Oldham); Lenny in Having A Ball (Cheltenham); Bottom in A Midsummer Night's Dream and Sir Toby Belch in Twelfth Night (Canizaro Park, Wimbledon); Bernard in Don't Dress For Dinner (Royal Theatre, Northampton); Vincent Minelli in Judy (Bristol Old Vic, Greenwich & West End); Antonio in The Tempest (Oxford Stage Company); Dennis Nilsen in the one-man show Killing For Company (Hen & Chickens); Sergeant Match in What The Butler Saw and Christopher Riley in Shadowlands (Coventry); Phil Spear in The Ballroom (Attic, Wimbledon); Snoopy in You're A Good Man Charlie Brown (Overground, Kingston) and Henry in Tons of Money (The Mill at Sonning). He also appeared in the first two professional pantomimes at Aylesbury's Civic Centre playing Baron Hardup in Cinderella and The Emperor of China in Aladdin. Other theatre includes Not With A Bang (Oldham); Crown of Thorns (Stoke); The Hired Man, Casablanca and Arturo Ui (all West End); Taming Of The Shrew (RSC)

Television includes Clapham Junction, Eastenders, Dream Team, Bernard's Watch, The Bill, Woof, Backup, Out of Sight, Into The Fire, 2 Point 4 Children , Cracker, Peak Practice, Waiting For God, A Dark Adapted Eye, Minder, Inspector Morse, Sophia and Constance, Mile High, Murder City, In Love With Barbara and Doctors.

Film work includes Vera Drake directed by Mike Leigh and The Damned United.

Philip had appeared in many commercials both in the UK and abroad. These include, for the UK, a BBC trailer for the Steve Wright Radio Show , Trust House Leisure Breaks, Weetabix, Red Funnel Ferries, Southern Water, Birmingham Midshires Building Society, Encyclopaedia Britannica, Peugeot and BT.

And for overseas - Erste Bank (Austria); Marriott Hotels (Germany & France); Royal Caribbean Cruises (U.S.A.); Bluewin and Tritel (Switzerland); DEA Petrol, Onko Coffee, Eurocard and Die Bild (all for Germany); Unox Sausages (Holland); Premier Milk (Eire) and Piu Piu Yogurt (Italy).

His most famous effort, however, was the award-winning Rolo commercial (with elephant!) seen in the UK, Holland, Eire, Germany, Greece, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

Philip also has extensive experience presenting and performing in corporate videos and live corporate events.
